EMPLOYMENT
ISSUES
Choice of career
One
of the most important thing in life is choosing of career or profession. A
right choice of career is fundamental importance. On it does depend one is success or failure
in life, a correct choice may led to happy, prosperous and satisfying career
and life. On the other hand, a wrong selection may result in failure,
disappointment and sadness in life.
There
are some criterions of seeking a job,
when the applicant who want to apply to the some companies. And the some of them may say the most
important . the first criterion is:
·
Salary.
Salary is only part of compensation for some
position it’s not even largest component. By salary can encourage for employers
who spend time and effort trying to improve employee engagement, as it offer
proof that engaged employees are more loyal and committed to the company. There is no doubt that salary are important
both for the employee as well as for the employer. But care should be taken so
that both individuals and organizations choose the most relevant. So we need to
negotiating salary with current employer during the performance appraisal
process. Even when looking out for a new job it will help to frame a figure in
your mind so that you can negotiate well with the future employer.
·
Sick pay.
Sick
pay is time off from work that workers can use to stay home to address their
health and safety need without losing pay or
Sick pay is money the employer must pay, either by law or by contractual
agreement. How to get sick pay? employee must tell employer that we’re sick and can’t work, an employee
the sick pay can be paid if there is
recommendation from a doctor note if sick for longer than 7 days including days
wouldn’t normally working. I think sick pay is very important so employee must
have an insurance for saving ourselves.
·
In have child case
The
next generation is our children, so the children must be protected by parents
with providing guarantee. Employee is
not always be fine of their health. So to keep that before it’s good to prepare
guarantee to the children. If the next time there is something happen so there
no frightened for their children.
·
Vacation pay.
more
companies are moving to “paid time off system where days off are not designated
as vacation leave, sick leave pr personal leave. Employees are given a number
of days to manage however they choose. If they rarely get sick, they can have
more vacation, personal leave days. If they are sick enough to not be able to
work, they can take the time off they need, but it may cut into the amount of
vacation time they can take. So I think vacation
pay is not important. there is no federal requirement that employee give their
employees vacation time. This means that employees who have been denied time
that they accrued, in this states where payment of accrued vacation is
required, must look to those states for enforcement.
·
Schedule flexibility
Schedule
flexibility can also be important factor. Time shifting to accommodate a long
commute or being able to leave to pick up
the kids can early make a big difference is accommodating other aspect of
a personal life, also whether a job.
·
Pension plan
Pension
plan is a retirement plan that requires an employer to make contributions into
a pool of funds set aside for a worker’s
future benefit. The pool of funds is invested on the employee’s b a half, and the earnings on the investments
generate income to the worker upon
retirement.
I
think pension plan is important to employee. A pension has both negative and
positive aspect. When we work for the government, we may not have much choice
in the type of retirement plan we are offered. It is important to understand
the specific details related to our plan. Most employers will offer an annual
workshop on the plan or go over the specific of the plan during orientation.
SOME COMMON JOB PROBLEM
1. LACK OF
COMMUNICATION
The biggest problem with any
relationship is lack of communication and that extends beyond the personal life
and into the work life.
Poor communication is a big problem
in the workplace. Employees have a high tolerance for change if kept in the
loop. When communication breaks down, rumors run rampant and will directly
impact productivity, focus and ultimately the finances of the company.
2. UNFAIR
PAY
It’s hard to find an employee who thinks they make too much
money. So the best employers can do is live up to fair- wage standards.
The bottom line is that complaining
about salary. In most cases, won’t increase a worker’s wage.
3. OVER
WORKED
Never left over worked at one time
in career, probably don’t have a pulse.
The toll on overworked employees
can include fatigue, irritability, weight gain, insomnia, and a whole host of
other physical and ,mental ailments.
4. UNDISCIPLINER
WORKER
It is ne3cessary to establish a
disciplinary action review committee, comprising board members to oversee
policy and procedure development and review of the disciplinary action
complaints and appelas. The commite solves disciplinary action cases if they
are not resolved at lower level.
